Minnesota has shown to be active this spring transfer portal, reeling in big fish LSU EDGE Jaxon Howard and Clemson DE Adam Kissayi, but Fleck and his staff don’t seem to be done quite yet. Georgia transfer WR Tyler Williams posted a photo on his Instagram story Tuesday, that he was on the University of Minnesota campus, implying that he was visiting the program.

Williams was an incredibly highly-touted prospect coming out of Lakeland, Florida, he chose the Bulldogs over top offers from Alabama, Oklahoma and Clemson. 247sports ranked him as the No. 111 overall prospect in the class of 2023, slotting him as a 4-star recruit. He played in two games as a true freshman last season on a loaded UGA roster.

After entering the transfer portal a week ago on April 16, he has reportedly received interest from two ACC schools and set up an in-home visit with USF, a program close to his hometown.

As for the Gophers, last season’s top receiver Daniel Jackson is set to lead their WR room, but Elijah Spencer and Le’Meke Brockington bring a bit of unknown to the group alongside transfers Jaylen Varner (Emporia State) and Cristian Driver (Penn State). Adding a player like Williams could bring the unit to a whole other level for New Hampshire transfer QB Max Brosmer.

CB Victor Pless officially entered his name into the portal late Monday night, so as it stands now Minnesota is right at the 85 scholarship player limit, but if a player like Tyler Williams has interest, you find a way to make room.
